Letcher County Sheriff Danny R. Webb is a life long resident of Letcher County. Originally from Millstone, Danny is the oldest son of the late Roscoe Webb Jr. and Pauline Trent Webb. Danny Graduated from Whitesburg High School in 1966 and served a tour in the United States Army and also is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Danny has a Bachelors Degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He also is a 30 year veteran of the Kentucky State Police, retiring in October 2001 at the Rank of Captain. The last six years of his State Police career was serving as Post Commander at Post 13 Hazard, Ky.
